As we move further into the off season, I have noticed that Larrydierker.com is morphing into a different type of player. In case you haven’t been on for a while or have been in the habit of looking for just one thing, I’m giving you the old wake up call. Now there’s more to see, so check it out!

First, the Surf Shop has a few new items and is a great place to get a personalized gift without having to find a parking place. I can usually get them in the mail within a day or two. Also, my calendar is limited this time of the year, but there are a few events where you can catch me if you want to get a book or a ball signed. I’ll keep it updated so you can track me down.

I have moved my blog from the Chronicle to the website and will write about off-season baseball news or anything else that strikes my fancy. I am also adding an Ask Larry feature. Ask me a question be emailing it to larry@larrydierker.com and if I like it, I’ll answer it on the site and send you something cool for your help.

If you click the Dierkspin icon, you will get everything I have written since coming online. Most of it isn’t timely, as a blog would be. It’s just for amusement and entertainment. Click on You Don’t Say and you’ll get some unusual, amusing and sometimes insightful commentary from many baseball personalities. Casey Stengel will be featured for the next few weeks. Then we’ll move on.

And finally, you may have noticed that the trivia questions are a lot more difficult and that I am only posting one every week or ten days. Tough as they have been, we have had winners. Their names will be posted shortly along with their prizes, which are of greater value than the daily prizes from last season’s Baseball Library Trivia. That show, by the way, will be back on opening day 2007.

Happy Holidays to all and Mele Kaliki.maka!
